Description
The name Frank Lloyd Wright conjures images of innovative architecture wedding landscape and structure. Among the homes designed by Wright Fallingwater stands as his signature achievement. The seamless merger of living space and nature captivates the senses.
I grew up in a town with two Frank Lloyd Wright homes, one being his earliest Prairie Style home. I have long admired Wright's architectural vision and style. A view of falling water is inspirational. Experiencing Fallingwater is enlightening.
I opted to capture this image on a long exposure (136 seconds), blurring the visitors in a ghost-like appearance. Fallingwater is a lived experience. Removing all traces of visitors, in my photographic vision for this site, mutes the lived-in experience of Fallingwater.

In addition to the banner, I am adding this more permanent recognition of its FEATURE on the homepage of A TREE OR TREES IN BLACK AND WHITE. I try mightily to feature only images that would be at home in a juried competition. No doubt that this image fits that bill. CONGRATULATIONS! And consider adding your image to DISCUSSIONS "Please post your featured photograph here" for greater, long-lasting visibility.
