Often its tough colorizing something that doesn't at all exist any more. There are usually no real references. This station has 4 different postcards and each one is colored differently. Couple that with not knowing the right color a train shed would be and it makes it more difficult to find colors.

All the postcards had the image as brown or tan or even pink with brown bricks placed randomly. This building had darker accents and coine on the corners which was a darker color. The roof is terracotta, so I knew that would be red all along. The shed I chose a gray/green/dirt combo. It couldn't be red because I didn't want the eyes there, I wanted them in the center.

The electric car, came in bright blue and bright red. The train had to be black, most were these days. Coal burning engines made a lot of smoke and paint became out of fashioned because of that. All eyes are on the red then the headlight. The master shading also tries to highlight the train.

The light is coming from the side, there are long shadows on the roof, suggesting the sun is a few hours from the horizon. Though its hard to know if there was a sunset or not. With light coming from the side though, I think I can get away with it, it allows the viewers eyes to be drawn into the scene. The ground was wet in spots, so I assumed it rained recently, and the clouds help support this.are on, but I can't tell if this is the start of a new day, or the end of one. I'm not sure it matters that much now though. Evening and trains, small lights and such, simply has a loving nostalgic feel.
